Welcome, I'm Dr. Nate Mayberry – or Nate to my patients – I'm a board-certified licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy and an Orthopedic Specialist supporting patients with pre- and post-op rehabilitation and physical therapy.
I received my Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore. My post-graduate board certifications include orthopedics and strength and conditioning training. Today, I help professional, collegiate, and Little League baseball players with sports rehabilitation treatments for shoulders, elbows, and trunk injuries related to overhead throwing.
Located in Severna Park, my practice serves patients across Anne Arundel County Maryland from Edgewater to Annapolis, Severna Park to Glen Burnie, as well as Baltimore. If you’re ready now to schedule your PT session the process to select a PT service, date, and time is quick and easy.
Many of my patients feel traditional physical therapy failed them. Unfortunately, less than 10% of physical therapists are board-certified and work in environments that allow for successful patient care. Most of my patients are coming from chain-based therapy centers that often only see the therapist for 15 minutes or less.
My practice is different. I’ll be the person greeting you at the door, leading your evaluation, and guiding your treatment plan in direct one-on-one sessions that are tailored to your recovery needs. My academic and clinical achievements include the following:
-
Development of Hypermobility and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS) treatment programs
-
Certified in the use of Diagnostic Ultrasound and Ultrasound-guided Dry Needling
-
Co-developed and published an externally focused pain management protocol
-
Contributing Author, Fascia in Sport & Movement, 2015, HANDSPRING Publishing
In addition to my background in rehabilitation and physical therapy, I’m a recognized Specialized Practitioner of Dry Needling by the Maryland Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
In 2016, I began specializing in dry needling therapy techniques to support patients with chronic pain and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS). I was fortunate enough to train with one of the world’s experts in the practice of dry needling and trigger point treatment who encouraged me to become an instructor with Myopain Seminars, the first and original dry needling education company in the United States.
I enjoy teaching other physical therapists advanced therapy techniques as well as continuing my own education and further specialization within my scope of practice as a physical therapist including:
-
Mentorship from distinguished experts in the treatment of Men’s Pelvic Pain
-
Working as part of an interdisciplinary team for complex cases of headaches and TMJ
Now, it’s my turn to listen. How can I help? If it’s more comfortable for you, visit my New Patient Contact Form and drop me a note. I’m very responsive.
